She recently attempted to study abroad in Japan, but had to leave her program 2 months early because of COVID-19. We’ve already talked a little about this program in a previous interview with Sheevah, who did this in South Africa. Black in Hong Kong: Amari’s Experience Living in Asia for 4 Months | EP. 26
In this week’s episode we are interviewing Amari Page who is a graduating senior at the University of Southern California. In 2019, she completed a study abroad program in Hong Kong for 4 months and was able to travel all around the hemisphere to countries like Thailand, Australia and more. Amari talks about why she would want to move to Hong Kong after her experience there. Additionally, she reflects on times she felt uncomfortable as a Black American traveling around Asia.
