We’ve already talked a little about this program in a previous interview with Sheevah, who did this in South Africa. Volunteers Around the World | EP. 50
There are several different reasons for travel and this week we want to talk more about service trips. Today we are interviewing Courtney and Caela, both graduates from Hampton University and studied Biology on a Pre-med track. Courtney and Caela volunteered with Volunteers Around the World. This organization gives students the opportunity to work with experienced medical professionals in areas of need and also gives free time to travel in the host country and experience a new culture. Caela went to Peru with this organization and Courtney did the same trip in Peru and another in Vietnam.
